Just 70 of these classic vests were crafted in our Seattle Workshop. The design is adapted from surveyors' vests in our archive. Unlined for versatile wear, it layers easily under a raincoat or an insulated jacket. Worn over a flannel, it protects your core from wood chips, sawdust, and heat-sapping wind.
The 14-oz. denim is deep-dyed for character. It will develop unique fade and wear patterns that tell the story of jobs well done. Open stow pockets hold the essentials, and the chest pocket is patterned with a slot for a carpenter pencil and side access to small necessities or a lighter.
A flat-felled, triple-stitched center-back seam replaces the original's two side seams. This construction delivers a natural drape while assuring lasting durability. Virtually unbreakable metal-shank buttons secure the front, and each piece is individually numbered on a custom debossed leather patch.
The dye in this product may transfer to lighter colored fabrics and materials, especially if wet or damp. Known as crocking, this is normal with deep-dyed denim, and not considered a flaw.
