Our Ripstop Compact Waist Pack is lightweight and rugged—ideal for light loads when hiking, fishing, or any other time you require hands-free carry.
Ripstop nylon was the ingenious solution to replace silk for use in parachutes during WWII when our airborne troops needed an ultralight fabric that could survive combat. The incorporation of a cross-hatch pattern of strong reinforcing threads into the weave of the lightweight nylon fabric prevented any holes that developed from spreading—a critical feature thousands of feet above the earth. We built our this waist pack with a stout variant of that revolutionary fabric—one able to withstand backcountry abuse no matter how tough the conditions. Produced by Cordura®, our 500D ripstop nylon is light in weight, yet sturdy enough to resist abrasion, punctures and tearing.
The padded back panel and waist belt comfortably support the weight of your load and employ foam and spacer mesh for breathability. The main compartment contains an interior zippered pocket and its lid zips open on three sides for visibility and easy access. A zippered front pocket features a clip to secure your keys. Webbing loops on the waistband and bottom provide attachment points for gear that doesn't fit inside or requires quick access and the top is equipped with a grab handle for added convenience.
