Do not wash or dry clean -- brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.Historic, proven protection from water and abrasion.
For well over a century foresters, sportsmen, and tradesmen have relied on our Tin Cruiser for protection from rain, snow, mud, brambles, and abrasion. This version features a lightweight lining for added comfort. Designed for timber cruisers to carry gear and maps, it features a total of ten pockets. The double-layer back and outer sleeves plus the front cape provides two layers of weather-resistant waxed cotton over the most exposed areas.
Tin Cloth earned its name and reputation for durable longevity in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest. The duck canvas is made with a tight weave that makes it a virtually impenetrable barrier to briars and thorns while withstanding the abuse of constant abrasion.
