*The Freeman is constructed with raglan sleeves so it does not have a traditional shoulder seam. Care

Do not wash or dry-clean - brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.

This collaboration brings together Freeman's modern design and Filson's century of field-proven fabrics. The raincoat is sewn in Seattle from our 8-oz. oil finish Cover Cloth, a tightly woven cotton canvas with a waxed finish for lasting water resistance. Periodic rewaxing will keep it shedding rain for years.

Inside, the torso is lined with 24-oz. Mackinaw Wool, our trusted cold-weather mainstay for more than a century. The sleeves are lined with lightweight cotton canvas that slides easily over layers. The hood's structured brim keeps rain and snow out of your eyes. A storm flap guards the chin-high zipper. Snap-secured cuffs and hand-pocket flaps seal out the weather.

Freeman has been making raincoats in Seattle since 2011, starting in a Capitol Hill apartment and building a loyal following through local craft and timeless design. This raincoat carries that same DNA. The trim cut provides ease of motion through innovative design, working in daily life as well as it does in the field.
