Midweight brush pants reinforced with oil finish Shelter Cloth.

Our Shelter Cloth Brush Pants are manufactured with our signature midweight dry finish Shelter Cloth. This time-proven material is crafted with an uncommonly tight weave for durability that belies its weight. The fronts and lower backs are reinforced with a second layer of fabric which has been treated with our oil finish wax for added durability and exceptional water resistance. The fit is roomy through the seat and thighs for ease of motion during steep hikes or climbing over logs and rocks. Seven belt loops prevent sagging at the waistband. Flap-protected rear and angled-entry front pockets. Suspender buttons. Zippered fly.

Midweight, Versatile Waxed Canvas

We call our 11-oz. oil finish Shelter Cloth a midweight fabric, but most would consider it heavyweight. This tightly woven waxed cotton is named Shelter Cloth because it’s virtually identical to the tent fabric used by military troops in the mid-1900s. It requires no break-in period and is comfortable from the first day. Saturated with a paraffin wax and oil mixture under high heat, oil finish Shelter Cloth resists abrasion while repelling wind and water.
