Made exclusively for Filson by Robb Gray, the custom knife maker based just a few miles from our Seattle flagship store. Crafted in very limited quantities, the Fin & Feather Fillet Knife is ideal dressing out everything from waterfowl to trophy trout to small salmon.
The 6-inch blade is gently curved in a Scandinavian sweep design. The long, gently-curved blade is hand-sanded for increasing flexibility towards the tip, for following the contours of a filet or working around bones. Made from tempered 440C high-carbon steel, this versatile knife resists corrosion and sharpens easily, yet retains an edge well. The full-tang construction assures durability and the handle is made from ironwood, a dense, hard wood that’s virtually impervious to wear.
Extreme care should be taken when inserting this long, curved knife into its sheath.
