Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. This special-edition Filson Workshop Waist Pack was engineered and crafted in our workshop located just inside our Seattle Flagship retail store. Here, a few highly skilled craftsmen design and build unique products using archive, short-run, and deadstock materials.
The vision for this pack came from a handlebar bag our craftsman Jon fashioned in preparation for a motorcycle excursion on Washington's Backcountry Discovery Route. The pack's size is ideal for a wallet or passport, a phone, a few fly boxes, or backcountry essentials such as GPS units or radios.
The main compartment is crafted from our iconic Tin Cloth waxed canvas, the fabric trusted for weatherproof protection in Pacific Northwest forests for nearly a century. The back panel is made from our signature Rugged Twill, legendary for its durability. The waist strap is made from 2‚Äù-wide heavy-duty polyester webbing and fastens with a one-piece aluminum buckle that has no moving parts to fail. The main compartment is secured with a heavy-gauge #8 YKK® zipper in an antique brass finish with a whipstitched leather zipper pull that was handcrafted.
