This produces a blade that sharpens easily, retains its edge, and has the toughness to resist chipping in hard use. The flat-ground drop-point geometry provides excellent tip strength with fine slicing ability and control. Full-tang construction yields outstanding strength, and light jimping along the spine provides traction for wet hands. The handle scales are made of reclaimed redwood birdseye burl, secured with copper Corby-screw construction. The handle is carefully hand-shaped for a secure, non-fatiguing grip.
