  • Returning an Item

    We stand behind our products 100 percent. The intent of our return policy is that you are satisfied with your purchase.

    If you purchase an item from Filson and are unhappy with it for any reason within the first 90 days, you may return your item with a receipt or proof of purchase for a refund. Items must be returned in salable condition. Non-salable items cannot be returned. If you do not have proof of purchase, at Filson’s discretion you may be offered an exchange or a Filson Gift Card at the current or last-known price.

    To return or exchange a Filson item:

    • Visit your local Filson store for assistance
    • Contact Customer Service by phone, email or the form below. Our Customer Service department will contact you within three business days.

    Products that have been monogrammed, hemmed or altered may not be returned or exchanged.

    All sales at Filson Outlets are final, with the exception of full-priced items

    If you wish to exchange your item for another item, please contact our Customer Service Department so that we may place a new order for you.

    If you wish to return or exchange an item purchased at a Filson dealer, contact the dealer about their return/exchange policy. We cannot refund a Filson item purchased from a third-party dealer or vendor.

    Gift-card sales are final.

    SALE ITEM RETURN POLICY

    Returns are accepted on discount items if received within 14 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for a refund. To make a return, bring your item to any Filson store or ship your item back to Filson. Please visit our Returns page or call Customer Service to request a Return Authorization (RA) number before shipping your item.

    SALE ITEM PRICE PROTECTION POLICY

    If Filson reduces the price of any item within seven days of the date of your purchase, we will honor the lowest price. Proof of purchase is required. Please contact Filson Customer Service at 1-800-624-0201 so that a price adjustment may be issued.

    RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES

    Customers will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We will ship exchanges to customers with addresses within the United States at our expense. Customers outside the U.S. are responsible for all shipping charges, duties, tariffs and taxes for both returns and exchanges. When shipping, please insure your package for its full value. Filson is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced packages/items. We cannot refund shipping charges. If you are returning an item to us, please include your contact information in the package. Your contact information should include your full name, a return address, and a daytime telephone number and/or email address. Please explain the reason for the return and the outcome you desire.   • Damaged or Defective Items

    If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact a Customer Service Representative as soon as possible at 1-866-860-8906. Please supply the Representative with your order number and item number from your original confirmation e-mail that we sent you. We'll make every effort to replace the item promptly.

  • Credit

    If you need to return an item, you can expect a refund or credit in the same form of payment originally used to make your purchase. Please note that a credit issued to your credit card may take up to two weeks to be acknowledged by your issuing bank or credit card institution.

    If you used an Online Gift Card to make your purchase, the refund amount will be applied to your Online Gift Card so that you may use it to make a future purchase.

  • Wrong Item, Color or Size

    We apologize if an item you receive is different from what you originally ordered. We would like you to contact us before returning your item, so that we ship the correct item promptly.

    What's all this business about my satisfaction?

    In 1897, C.C. Filson said, "Your satisfaction is the sole purpose of our transaction." We've held that standard ever since. It's gotten us into hot water on some days, but over a hundred years later we stand by those words. If you purchase an item from Filson and are unhappy with it for any reason within the first 90 days, you may return your item for a refund as stated in our Returns Policy. Well, maybe a couple of questions. Your feedback is very important to us and is used to help us improve our products.


    How do I return an item to Filson for repair?

    What if I receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item?

    Please contact Customer Service as soon as possible at 1-800-624-0201. Have the order number and style number for the Customer Service Representative, and we will make every effort to replace your item promptly.


    How will I receive my refund?

    Refunds are issued in the original form of payment. Please note that a refund issued to your credit or debit card may take up to two weeks to be acknowledged by your financial institution. A Filson order number or proof of purchase is required for refund.
    If you are returning an item that was originally purchased through one of our authorized retailers, you may be issued a Filson Gift Card for the last known retail price (redeemable online at Filson.com or in person at one of our Filson stores).


    What if I don't have an order number or it was given to me as a gift?

    We will exchange an item without an order number or receipt if all of the product tags are included, the item is not a discontinued style and the product does not show any wear. The last known retail price may be used as a credit toward an exchange, or issued in the form of a Filson Gift Card.
