The backcountry shelter proven for centuries.
Relied upon for centuries by trappers, hunters, miners and horse packers, the traditional wall tent is the ideal refuge for a backcountry basecamp. For our limited-production 125-Year Anniversary Tent we teamed up with Seattle’s Rainier Industries, a company that like Filson, was founded to equip the bold pioneers of the Alaskan Gold Rush.
Manufactured from heavy-duty canvas that’s treated for water and mildew resistance, this 10’ x 10’ flame-retardant tent features a stove jack in the roof. The window in the rear wall is equipped with mosquito netting and zippered weather flap. The full-height front zipper is between a 12”-wide overlap in the door panels to seal out the weather. Everything needed for a wilderness shelter is included: canvas tent, sod cloth, poles, rope and rope locks, and steel spikes. The side walls are 44 inches tall, and the center height is 9 feet. The tent will ship in two packages, one with the canvas tent, the other with steel tent poles.
Just 25 of these special-edition tents were manufactured in honor of our 125th year as outdoor outfitters, each one printed with a classic Filson logo adapted from our historic storefronts and catalogs.
