“Dear Filson,

The year was 1908, in Seattle when the little home was built. As I peeled back the layers of history, walking in the footsteps of the master craftsman that came before me, I can’t help but respect carrying the heritage I have been entrusted with, to walk on in the 21st century.  The year was 2014 and the weather was somewhere north of 35 degrees. It’s wet, cold, miserable by most peoples standards, and in the worst the North West weather had to offer, I hardly noticed. My Mackinaw Wool Vest and Tin Cruiser, a constant companion warmed my body and spirit. A spirit that spans generations. A spirit of old fashioned values and respect of outdoorsmen and craftsman that came before me. You Filson, are not just fine clothing, but the embodiment of generational hand crafted quality. I stand with you Filson in a new world where quality is rare. Thank you Filson for being my companion and together we’ll carry on our legacy.”
