A long-billed cap that pays homage to WWII troops.
Papa Nui, inspired by his father’s service in the South Pacific, crafts exceptionally high quality and accurate reproductions of the headwear worn by our WWII-era military. These resourceful men would adapt and customize their gear to fit the specific needs of the mission. Each cap is purpose-built for utility, function, and tough durability. Manufactured with the highest-quality materials, they pay tribute to our troops and their historic units.
Ideal for any action under the bright sun, the Papa Nui Aleutians Field Cap is built with a long brim for maximum protection. Wool flannel the underside of the brim to reduce glare from the water's surface. This individually-sized cap features a five-panel crown with a low, streamlined profile. Sewn on the side is an emobroidered patch with a snarling polar bear. This was the emblem patch for the Alaska Defense Command, of which the Scouts were an element.
