Since the late 1800s, the Salish of the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island, B.C. have knitted their famed woolen sweaters. "12" for the year 2012 is knit right into the design. For 2012 the Men's design is noble Moose, the symbol of abundance in the hunt.
